Restoration & Beautification Projects

The Martin Luther King Jr. and Cesar Chavez Day of Service are held every year to commemorate and uphold the vision of past community leaders and take charge of caring for La Madre Tierra. In honor of these Civil Rights leaders, we coordinate a day of restoration, beautification, and education in the local neighborhood. Through partnerships with county officials, nonprofits, and local stakeholders, we are able to provide immediate attention and improvement to local parks while also providing a space for residents to build community.

We love all outdoor spaces, including our parks! If you would like to join us in caring for them by volunteering at our next event. Please email our VISTA Volunteer Coordinator, Briseida Pineda at briseida@mujeresdelatierra.org.
