Annual Dia De Los Muertos Community Procession

The Annual Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Community Procession is a beautiful tradition that brings people together in a meaningful way. The Dia de los Muertos Procession is an event that wonderfully captures how we honor the memories of loved ones, while also promoting awareness of local parks.  It is truly inspiring to witness the sense of solidarity that is fostered among community members as they come together to celebrate culture and family. This event is free and open to all! During this celebration residents, schools, and local agencies walk together from Cypress Park Branch Library to Los Angeles River Center and Gardens (1 mile) to build up and educate one another about the important issues in their neighborhoods. As well as to push toward a positive communal change.

Come and join the celebration of our Annual Dia de los Muertos Community Procession with your parents, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.  It is a safe place to enjoy food, music, resource fair, entertainment, and stunning art installations created with Mujeres de la Tierra staff, partners, and community members. As this event has grown over the past 8 years, we want to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all, we kindly request that you register as soon as we provide the registration form. We have limited space available, securing your spot is important. If you are representing an organization/group and would like to participate in our resource table and/or walk in the parade. Please email Rosa Bautista at or you may register once the form has been uploaded onto our website. However, there are limited spots in our resource fair, we serve on a first come first serve basis. Nonetheless, there is a waitlist and your organization/group may still register to walk in the procession with everyone else. We are looking forward to celebrating with you and highlighting the significance of our local parks and community.
