Our Story
Mujeres de la Tierra is a grassroots environmental equity non-profit founded in 2004, in the city of Los Angeles. Mujeres de la Tierra has the distinction of being the first Latina-founded and led 501(c)(3) environmental organization that focuses on the healing of La Madre Tierra (Mother Earth) in Southern California. Mujeres de la Tierra takes pride in having a local, state, and national impact through our values and culturally relevant programs that have earned us recognition from the Anacostia Museum, the City of Los Angeles, and other surrounding communities.
Nuestra Misión
Motivar e inspirar a mujeres y niños de todas las edades a convertirse en participantes activos en sus comunicades, brindándoles entretenimiento y capacidad de construcción que les permita tomar acción y resolver problemas sociales y ambientales en sus vecindarios. Creemos firmemente en el poder de uno y que las acciones comunicatias empiezen con participaciones individuales.
