Join us for the 2019 Dia de los Muertos Community Procession in Cypress Park on Tuesday October 29th at 6 pm. The Procession will start at the Cypress Park Branch Library and end at the Los Angeles River Center & Gardens.
We recommend participants to park at the LA River Center; we will provide a shuttle from the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens (570 W Ave 26) to the Cypress Park Branch Library (1150 Cypress Ave). The procession will start at 6:30 p.m. sharp and the route is 8/10ths of a mile in length. Remember to wear comfy shoes and to bring a flashlight. We want to respect the Día de los Muertos tradition, NO Halloween costumes are allowed.
At the end of our procession, we will have music, food, and refreshments for everyone. We will also have resource tables that will give you the opportunity to meet local organizations doing incredible work in our neighborhood. Lastly, we will have the unveiling of our grand altar/art installations.
Don't miss this excellent opportunity to meet more people in your community and have fun while we honor and celebrate this beautiful tradition.
